This wine is produced on Casa do Capitão-Mor (Quinta da Boavista) in Mazedo, Monção. Here the soil has a granitic calcareous origin with a porfhyric texture, covered by a land terrace of rolled pebles. It dists about 900 metros from the river Minho.
The grapes are handmaid harvested and carried in boxes to the wine cellar when they become destemmed. Then they are submitted to pellicular maceration for five hours, with the controll of the temperature, and then pressed.
